RingCentral will be the new phone, team messaging, video conferencing, and faxing solution that is being deployed at Farmers State Bank.
New wireless headsets will replace the current desk phones. A new desk phone will be installed at the teller line at each branch before the go live date.
The go live date is currently scheduled for June 8th.
Training for the new system will be self-paced and web based. Trainings will need to be completed before the go live date.
A soft rollout of the RingCentral application will begin this week and will be deployed on a department by department basis. This will give everyone an opportunity to start to use the application and features of RingCentral prior to the go live.
During this soft roll out, IT will be installing the RingCentral application on each PC activating your RingCentral account and handing out your headsets. If you have wireless ear buds that work with the Ring Central application you are more than welcome to use them. If the earbuds do not work you will need to use the headset that is provided. If you have questions about your headset once you receive it, please contact the IT department.
When your RingCentral accounts are activated you will receive an email from RingCentral with the login account information. The phone numbers that are coming with the soft roll out (951 area code) are temporary numbers provided by RingCentral. These temporary numbers are only to be used during the interim period before the actual go live. At go live, all numbers will switch back to your current line. Your extension numbers will not change from what you currently have.
Your RingCentral account and password (that you setup) will be used to access the RingCentral University training. https://university.ringcentral.com/page/en-mvp-ub-user-mvp-basics
Please take some time in the next couple of weeks to go through the following trainings:
Also, take time to become familiar with the headset and start using the application and features of RingCentral.
IT will be working with managers to setup Messaging Teams for each department.
Please remember messages sent between employees in RingCentral should be professional in nature, just like your work email. These messages can be audited.
There will be more information about the go live date and tips about RingCentral in the Shovel over the next few weeks.
*** With Ring Central you will no longer a need to dial a “9” to call outside the bank. ***
