At FSB, we believe that giving back to the community is an important part of our corporate responsibility. We are committed to supporting causes that make a difference in the lives of our customers and employees.

Each year, we donate thousands of dollars to charities in the local communities we serve. We focus our giving on three key areas: financial education, support low to moderate income indviduals, and community development

How to Apply for a Charitable Donation/Guidelines

If you are interested in applying for a charitable donation from FSB, please review our eligibility criteria and application process carefully. We accept applications from nonprofits of all sizes, and we encourage organizations to apply that are working to make a difference in our communities.

Donation Request Form

Priority is given to organizations or programs that fall within the following impact areas:

Financial Education
We want to help people achieve financial security.  We support programs that teach all ages about money management, credit, and homeownership.
Support LMI Individuals
We believe that everyone deserves a chance to succeed. That's why we support low- to moderate-income individuals in our communities.
Community Development
We are committed to the economic vitality of our community. That's why we actively participate in initiatives that promote community development .

Eligibility Criteria

1. Event or home office is located in or near one of the following areas:

  • Black Hawk, Bremer, or Buchanan Counties
  • Dallas and Polk Counties

2. Non-event donations are awarded to nonprofit organizations only. Proof of nonprofit status is required.  

3. Not eligible for funding:

  • Purposes that benefit only one individual (i.e. pageants, school trips, etc.)
  • Recreational, club or sports teams
  • Political organizations or candidates
  • Religious or sectarian organizations
  • Fraternal organizations

Application Process

FSB considers charitable requests on a quarterly basis for annual funds and events. Each request is reviewed thoroughly and a decision is determined based upon several factors. Funding is not guaranteed, even if all of the preliminary eligibility guidelines above are met.

  • The donation request form must be submitted at least 90 days prior to the event or need for funds.
  • Requests not associated with a specific date may be submitted at any time and will be considered as part of the subsequent review period.
